About the Event
Now, in retirement, Ruth's goals and purpose have merged into sharing her love for art and bringing her clients joy. Her painting of Mike the Tiger hangs in the Lobby of the Lod Cook Alumni Hotel at LSU.
She invites commissions for portraits of people, pets, landscapes, and any individualized subject matter that her customer desires.
Ruth Riner Stuart graduated from LSU in 1962 with studies in Psychology and added to her education attending OLOL School of Nursing to become a Psychiatric Registered Nurse.  She worked in that field in Taiwan, California, Texas, North Carolina , and New Orleans.   Ruth illustrated a 175 year history book published by Baton Rouge’s First  United Methodist Church. She is a 2 time cancer survivor.
