Service Description

You can purchase a single class or purchase the pricing plan to save on 4 sessions. Improve your painting skills in Watercolor. A group setting, where you’ll have fun painting with others while you get hands-on personal instruction. Have you started painting but find you need some help? This class is designed for the person who enjoys making art but needs a teacher. You’ll get information about the supplies needed, tips and techniques to improve your skill, and how to develop an eye for composition. For the first class, (If you have been painting) please bring samples of your work – both things you are proud of and those you feel could be improved. Betsy will provide feedback and assess each student’s needs. If you are a beginner and don’t have supplies, a limited amount will be provided at the first session. A list of supplies will be provided so you can obtain your own if needed. Also available as a course which includes four sessions at a discounted price. As you continue, you will learn tips on composition (design elements and principles), painting surfaces, brushes, pigments, color mixing, varnishes and all the processes that go into creating a painting. You will be able to continue working on a piece, bring in your ideas, (or choose from ours) and begin a brand-new piece. Setting is an open studio, where you will hear the teacher’s comments and see what the other students are working on. It’s fun to paint and learn together!
