Betsy enjoys painting in oil, acrylic and watercolor at her home studio and on location, in a naturalist style, most often related to local architecture. Favorite subjects include Baton Rouge landmarks, Spanish Town houses and the Mississippi River, plus the world of New Orleans restaurants and food, and a familiar French Quarter hotel. She also likes to observe and interpret the light on objects in interior spaces. Plus the lush greenery in the Louisiana landscape, along with the big sky and hard light of Florida and Texas. She participates regularly in juried shows and has received awards for her work. She has exhibited and sold work in shops in Florida and Louisiana, and owners of her work range across many states.

Betsy continues teaching through individual students and group workshops at her home studio.
