Breed All About Us

Come meet this amazing artist and learn about 64 popular dog breeds with first-person descriptions and almost life-like watercolor paintings. There will be a number of rescued dogs looking for a home. Katherine will give an inspiring talk at 11 am for about 30-45 minutes about the different breeds and her life. The exhibit displays the original artwork and includes opportunities to purchase prints and books. Several rescue dog vendors will be setup as well.  She will also autograph any of her purchased books or prints. Tickets available at the door.

Katherine Klimitas is a New Orleans-based artist and designer who sold her first watercolor at age 10. As the daughter of veterinarians, Katherine expresses her family’s life-long love of animals through her meticulous paintings. She earned a B.A. from Loyola University in 2011, and today runs her multifaceted business KAK ART & Designs from home. When clients learn that Katherine has Brittle Bone Disease, they are captivated by her unique perspective and love for life. Katherine is 2 feet 7  inches tall, gets around in an electric wheelchair, and creates all of her art, jewelry, and commercial graphic design while lying  on her side.
