Gallery 46

Gallery 46 is a new gallery owned by Mid-City Artisans that is dedicated to hosting monthly art shows, art talks, special events like the Kids Makers Market, and space rentals.

The gallery is located at 515 Mouton St Suite 202 on the second floor above Bistro Byronz located in the same space as our Art Learning Center. Access is via the elevator and across the bridge.

Gallery 46 will celebrate its opening with a MCA Artist Spotlight Show and reception on Thursday, July 21 from 5:30 pm - 7:pm. The reception will include free food, drinks, and music. This show will feature Libby Tobin Broussard's "All things Swamp" sculpture series and Terry Farrell's "Water Dimensions" painting series. The artist's works will stay on exhibition and available for purchase through August 20.

This will be your chance to meet the artists and discuss their works with them. Each artist has an eclectic style that is sure to capture your eye.

All show art will be available for purchase and viewing for about 4 weeks unless otherwise noted.

Upcoming show openings for 2022 include:

August 13. 3-6: "Expressions of Joi" by Joi Whiley a New Orleans artist. Opening night includes a talk by the artist. Show ends September 9th.

September 10th 10am - 1 pm: Kids Makers Market. There is a new expanded format including both outside and inside kid vendors. We may even have music for this one.

September 22th, 5:30 - 7:30 pm: "Expressions of Life" by regional college students, Each students is allowed to display one piece that is not for sale.

October 20th 5:30 - 7:30pm "Smalls" which will include a variety of art from not only our MCA artists but also all over the country. This show will run until Dec 28th.


We have other exciting events and shows in the planning stages for this and next year. Stay tuned!!
